Commercial HVAC Installation

Statewide HVAC installs and replaces commercial HVAC equipment for offices, retail buildings, and light-commercial facilities across the Sacramento region. Sizing is done to the actual load — not duplicated from the old label — and installation meets current California Title 24 and local building-department requirements. We work with property managers and owners from scope through final inspection.

What commercial HVAC installation covers

  • Load calculation for the actual commercial space (not residential rules of thumb)
  • Equipment selection matched to use pattern — retail, office, assembly, mixed
  • Rooftop crane placement coordination for package-unit changeouts
  • Curb adapters where new unit footprint differs from the old
  • Electrical, gas, and controls connections to current code
  • Permit coordination, Title 24 forms, and third-party testing where required

Commercial HVAC Installation questions, answered

Why not just replace a rooftop unit with the same tonnage?

The old unit may have been oversized at install, the building use may have changed (fewer or more occupants, added computers, altered partitions), and current efficiency equipment often does more per nominal ton than older units. A load calculation sizes the replacement to the actual building, not an assumption that twenty-year-old sizing is still right.

What does a commercial equipment changeout involve beyond the equipment?

A rooftop changeout typically needs: crane time scheduled, a curb adapter if footprints differ, updated electrical disconnect if required, a new condensate route if required, Title 24 compliance paperwork, and a permit from the local building department. We coordinate all of it in the scope rather than handing pieces to the owner.

How long does a commercial HVAC install take?

A straight package-unit changeout on a single zone can often be done in a working day plus crane time. More involved projects — multi-unit buildings, changes in equipment type, duct modifications — are quoted with a schedule as part of the scope. We don't quote by phone; a commercial scope needs an on-site evaluation.

Can you phase a replacement across a working business?

Yes — on retail and office properties, we commonly schedule work for off-hours or weekends so the business doesn't lose operating days. Phased replacements across multiple units on the same building are coordinated so the space never loses conditioning entirely.
