AC Repair

Statewide HVAC repairs residential air conditioning systems across the greater Sacramento region — Sacramento, Placer, El Dorado, Nevada, and Yolo counties. A technician diagnoses the system first, explains what failed and why, and gives you clear options before any work starts. We're a CSLB-licensed California contractor (License #1023360).

AC Repair questions, answered

My AC runs but isn't cooling — what's usually wrong?

The most common culprits are a clogged air filter, a refrigerant leak, a failing capacitor or fan motor, a frozen evaporator coil, or ductwork losing cooled air before it reaches the rooms. A proper diagnosis pins down which one you actually have — guessing gets expensive.

Should I repair my AC or replace it?

It depends on the system's age, what failed, how often it's been failing, and how long you plan to stay in the home. A failed capacitor on a mid-life system usually points to repair; a failed compressor on an old, inefficient system is worth a replacement conversation. We diagnose first and lay out both paths.

Do you work on my brand of air conditioner?

We service standard residential split systems, package units, heat pumps, and ductless systems. When you call, tell us the brand and what the system is doing and we'll confirm before anyone rolls out.

What should I do before the technician arrives?

If the system is frozen (ice on the lines or coil), switch it off so it can thaw — it can't be diagnosed frozen. Note anything you've observed: sounds, smells, breaker trips, and when the problem started.
